While we market ourselves as a network of humble volunteers, our original PayPal account — titled “Gender Court Cases” — made our intentions pretty clear. We weren’t raising funds for education or dialogue. We were fundraising for lawfare: legal strategies to intimidate providers and chill gender-affirming care.
We took it down for a while — we panicked. Someone heard a rumour that the authorities might be looking into non-profits laundering ideology through litigation, and, well, better safe than scrutinised.
